Just noticed that in my -64 Valiant there is another tag on driver's side inner fender. Reads something like "Chrysler Corporation, Detroit, Michigan. Made in the USA". It's aluminum/red colored and located right next to the main tag containing all the options, shipping date and such info.
In my 63 Dart there is only one tag. This car was made for US market and the Valiant was shipped to Finland brand new. Is this extra tag a random one or maybe export only? Just curious...

My 66 Valiant (built for export) has the same tag and my son's 65 Barracuda - an export car too - also.

can you upload a pic?

Ulf in Sweden (65 Dartcharger) had made some of those export tags that would have come on an early A - they are great looking. Here is the one he sent me

While this is for a Dodge, I'm sure Plymouth would have a different logo and possibly a different color

I have to say, it is no 'Plymouth - tag', it is truly a 'Valiant - tag' and - very interesting - from 1966, when Valiant was back in the Plymouth line for 4 years...

Interesting! I forgot that Valiant sold in Europe, Australia, SA and other places were not "Plymouths" but Valiants!

Canada too....Barracuda's in 64 and '65 were "Valiant Barracuda's", not Plymouth Barracuda's...They even had "Valiant" on the hood emblem, instead of Plymouth.

If a car was ordered from overseas by a US serviceman, the order & car were tagged as 'export' but they were to be picked up in the US at a dealership of that persons choice on his return home.

Export indicates an order from overseas - even if the car never left the US.

Mopars made for Canadian sale were not considered exports & cars made at the Windsor Ontario plant for US sale were not considered imports.

ok, here's a strange situation: my 79 300 t-top was made in Windsor for Canadian market, had to be shipped to the US to do the roof option, then sent back to Canada. As such it had a few options not available in US, and did not have catalytics. Fast forward about 20 years, the car is sold to US citizen. Now normally it would have to be retro fitted with catalytics to allow entry, but because it was already in the US once, for the roof alteration, it can come in as is. Weird, huh?

I had these make for my 66 Satellite and Belvedere (both export cars to Sweden) 50 was made, still got a few left.
