I bought a old Gardner-Denver 2 cyl single stage back in 81, made in late 40's I think, used it for about 5 years than bought a almost new Ingersol Rand 2 stage 5hp 80 gal, I sold the GD to my friend he had it for a while then sold it to another friend of mine and he moved out west and is still using it today.
They don't make things like they use to.
 
It still 'farts' when the flywheel is turned by hand, so I have hope. If the motor is still good........ :)

Once I get it home, cleaned up, oil changed & wired up I hope to be grinning from ear to ear.
 
And Gardner-Denver is still in business and headquartered in Milwaukee. Nice score!
 
I took it apart into sections after work & brought it home. The oil was full & very clean & the motor still runs. :)
