I had a little help the with the "old school" setup fixtures and '71 FSM. Lol, I must have gone through the measurements a half dozen times before I grew nerve to press the bearing on the pinion with the shims behind it. My concern was possibly going too deep and having to pull the bearing.
Yes I did. But since this is my first time it's all a bit of a blur to me, (kind'a like this picture)!
