I have a set of original 15x7 police wheels that I would like to put on the swinger. Does anyone know if the front has clearance enough to run these with 225/60 tires?
I cant just slap them on and try it because the car is pulled down for restoration.

Quick answer, Yes if its a bbp Dart

I am using that combo on my 69, fit great and have no trouble

Yes, its BBP disc brake. I knew I had run 225/60 in the past but back then I was using 14" ralley wheels and was not sure if that makes a difference. I do recall having issues trying to run 235's on the front when turning they could rub.
Im planning on running 225 on front and 235 back.

What back spacing would be best.. Mine is a 72 I am was hoping on using the same combo on a 15x8 wheel vintiques cop rim with the BBP and the 11.75 disc brakes off of an F M or J..

i have 225/60-15 tires all the way around on our dart.. wheels are 15x7 with 4.5" backspace (custom backspace from vintiques). your stock wheels are probably 4.25 backspace but i think will still fit. if i did it over again i'd go with 4.75 backspace all the way around..

Very nice!
That is the exactly the stance I am looking for
I am confused by backspacing. Would 4.75" backspacing bring the outer ring further inboard or outboard? What is the advantage of more or less backspacing?
I am running rear espo leafs in the stock location and will be installing QA1 large ball joint uppers on the front. I was hoping to run the 15x8's.

My current setup is this.. I am in the process of replacing / upgrading the front suspension.

more backspace would bring the wheels under the car further. mine are 15x7 though..

15x8 may get tight on there. even if you went 4,75 backspace your wheels would stick out 3/4" more then mine.. you'll have to measure it and make sure you have room.

here is how my 15x7 fit in the rear.. stock location springs..
