727 Transmission - Hurst Quarter Stick Shifter

you can run the forward pattern shifter.
Full manual valve bodies don't have the automatic shifting feature. you have to manual shift into each gear. They make reverse pattern manual valve bodies that would make drive first gear and 1st 3rd gear. you dont have that from the sounds of it.

with the forward pattern hurst shifter you can leave it in 3rd (drive) or bang threw the gears.
