Just thought that I'd post it here for anyone looking for the correct Idler Arm for a 67 Barracuda or Valiant for a 67 K Member

Kanter products has one. I ordered it, put it in, fits like a darn glove and not $150 like some places either: Only $77 - free shipping as well.

Product number: 04417C IA 18683

(Ignore the reference pic on the site)

Thanks

Thanks, I am in the market for that idler arm. Did you need to do a complete lift to get it installed?

Just lifted the front, removed old one, put new one in. Total time was maybe 15 mins including jacking the car up.

My idler arm appears to have a through-bolt on one end. The picture of the PST part looks different. This suspension has seen some mods by a previous owner. Does this look like the same idler arm you replaced? Thanks for your help.

If yours is a bolt through, then someone must have changed it for a 68 and up which are only about $25. Can get them from most parts stores. 67 had 2 bolts, not 1 and a bolt through. Hope that helps.

Wow, I did not expect such a fast reply! I had heard of the mod you refer to. So you think someone welded up the bracket to allow using the 68 up idler arm? Thanks again!

Could be as simple as someone changing out the K member to a 68 and up, especially if they've done the suspension work you were referring to. If the engine was out, it would have been faster and less complicated to change the K member rather than cut one off of an old one, then reweld it. :)
