Did they make these for passenger side and has anyone modified to fit and what about missing doors?

Yes, they had some for pass side...

Usually the hinges get rusty and the doors come off... If you can free up the hing and re-attach it to the housing with the door (rivets maybe)... Or find a used one in good shape...

Heater delete cars had the passenger side vent box. What I did in my 68 Barracuda when I deleted the entire Heater core box, was cut the heater box off of the vent part of the assemble, then added a piece to the side of my vent box to seal it and mounted that. I have an extra one I did if you'd like I can get a picture of it tomorrow.

Yeah, it's built into the heater box for the passenger side...

That would be great I have the heater box and was thinking of do that I was planing on making some doors out of aluminum and getting hinges on it. They are nice to have in summer but sucks in winter with no doors

I call them the "crotch boxes".... Open the doors with a nice loose pair of shorts and you keep the junk cool.... Blows up one leg, and down the other... :p

I plugged mine up with a cap just put the drivers side back on went for ride with daughter and had leaves and dirt blowing on me she said roll the windows up there's trash blowing out of that truck in front of us. Haha at car wash now vacuumed me her and car.

I've had good luck freeing up the hinges by soaking them in rust remover.
Distilled white vinegar, lemon juice and a sprinkle of salt:)

I bought a drivers side and made an adapter to bolt it to the pass side, can`t tell its not factory, except they both open the same way. don`t know about factory ones tho. small hotrod heater in the center - under the dash.

Here are a couple of pictures. This is a second one I cut. All you need is to cut a piece of plastic to seal the hole. I have one just like it with the side sealed in my 68 Barracuda.
