has anyone ever seen this M code cuda or know if it's still around?

I'm sure there's at least 1 m code cuda in red that's still around, as to whether it's that specific one, no idea unless you have the vin or at least the area it was last seen

I'm aware of "other" red M Codes, this one in particular has the rare 1969 only vinyl top in white. Please read the question!

I read your question. But still without any identifiable information other than color of the car and top, nobody is gonna be able to definitively answer you, or at least not easily

lol, ok...........I'm sure "somebody" might . I found this pic quite a few years ago and I know someone has info on M codes such as a registry so.........................

Sigh....

That picture is over 30 years old. Many people don't like the look of those tops on fastback barracuda. And it looks especially odd with the black lower and hood stripes.

That car could easily have its top taken off or not put back on during a restoration or refresh in the past 30+ years.

Need to find ones coded for white vinyl top. Of course that's assuming the car pictured originally was built with a vinyl top.

Where was that picture taken? What year?

Have that pic, car is nice but the eyes always go to the chick. Wish I had a car that looked that great back then and then maybe!
 
I took that picture back in 2015 I think. It was a real m code and he drove it there with his buddy in his superbird. They were from Texas I think.
 
I run the registry for M-code 'cudas.........YES the white wig car is still around!!!

I knew it, but some experts here just don't know when to quit, this is impossible, that's been changed ,no one liked the vinyl top blah blah blah...

thank you, couldn't remember who on fabo did the registry. So much for the know it all with of the answers .

73hcode said he took the picture of the car with Cragers and NO vinyl top in 2015. The picture you made a negative remark about since it didn't have a have a white top.

Not the picture in your original post.

I'm my experience on web boards for decades, when you get a response to a question that is close but a little off the mark don't be negative about it. The negativity will just turn off the flow of information. Some of those close responses can lead to answers from new angles.

The car you are asking about in your first post looks like it was taken pre 1990 at least. BBdave said he knows of the car now. He didn't say if it still looked 100% identical to the vintage picture.
 
The pic the OP put up there is a pretty old pic. Some where i have an up dated pic but i don't remember about the wheels?? The car itself looks the same and i don't believe it has ever been restored. I do remember that the license plate is a personalize one that says something like 69 cuda? The updated pic i have, the car has a updated license plate with the exact same 69 cuda (or whatever it says)......I'll look the the newer pic and post here.....
 
The red cuda in this thread taken at Cruisin the Coast in 2015 is mine. It rarely goes to judged shows any more but when it does I install the original stamped steel wheels with dog dish hub caps. My car is R4 red while the one in question is R6 (I think). I have studied '69 M codes since 1999, am a member of the registry, and have attended many national events but this is the first that I have seen of the one with the white "slickback".
 
I don't mind at all. Any time my 'cuda (in the truest since of the word) gets shown to others is a joy for me. I chuckle at those that combine apples and oranges when they debate whether 'cuda is a model or a slang. Anyone with a brain knows that barracudas have been called 'cudas since they were introduced in 1964. I will call a 1964 or a 1974 barracuda a cuda and defy anyone to tell me how wrong I am. The key word that I haven't seen in this thread is "package". The 'cuda option was offered as a 'package' in 1969 and it was a performance package "option" that was different from the formula 's' package. If those that disagree want to get off their lazy arses and do some research, they will learn something. While I am a 2nd gen barracuda lover, I appreciate all the barracudas that Plymouth ever made and hope that the name is not put on a Dodge.
