Here is the first stage of my latest build. Just a mild 360. Speed pro pistons/AZ crank kit. Nothing fancy, but should be a lot of fun in the Dart.

Using a very mild cam from EngineTech: ES1089R
Dur @ .050 204 Int 214 Exh
Lift 421 Int 444 Exh
Low RPM build using easy to find parts/stock heads etc. Still should be fun.

Did you measure the compression ratio with those pistons? What'd it end up at? Should be a good little engine.

Using assumed cylinder head volume, I get between 9.2 - 9.6:1 SCR. I will measure everything before bolting it down and probably find closer to 8.5:1. Hoping to use regular (87) gas.

Using stock smog heads with the emissions ports threaded and plugged. New valves installed and 3 angle valve job. Will be using a stock 360 intake manifold and Doug's headers to 2.5" dual exhaust.

Id reckon youre gonna be closer to 8:1 unless those heads or block have been milled down

That would be just fine for this build. I figured once I measured it would come out to 8.5, but 8:1 would be fine for this build.
That should give good MPG....
Should, and some good low end grunt. This is a grocery getter/go to work car and have a little fun stop light to stop light....3.21 gears and 25" tires. Just a fun little car.
