I was looking for some input on trans brake valve bodies. I'm using a A&A manual valve body with rear band apply now. I was talking to the people at A&A about there trans brake valve body and they said not to engage the sol for more then 90 sec. There valve body uses the sol for rev. Any input on this .

I've been using A&A trans brake since 1991 with no problems. I wouldn't use any other brake. My car currently runs 8.70's when I was in the 10.00's I went over 900 passes between freshen's. Good luck with your build. Tom

I have one of John Copes new trans brakes and he told me basically the same thing.

I was looking at his , do you like it? How is the shift my a&a shift real hard . The 1 2 shift is crazy fast . I blow the tires off with to much boost. Have you had any problems with the sol ?

I've never had a problem with the sol. I don't know of any reason to use it for more than 90 seconds anyway.

I haven't raced the car yet with the CRT vb. The transmission is out to swap all the internals into another case as this one will back up in neutral. The tb will work in first or second in the valve body I bought. My local track is not known for good bite so I thought my radials may work better leaving in second.

Thanks for the input . I'm just worried because , I drive the car on the street. I have a long drive way and at cruises sometimes it not easy to park. I think A&A is the valve body i'm going with. If I want to go fast trans brake is my only option. I can't make boost on the brakes .

I think they mean 90 seconds when it's in lock up mode not when backing up. They do get hot fast when in full transbrake mode

I would call and verify

I called and they said whenever the sol. is activated . I just have to be careful .
