67-68 Hood Inserts on a 64-66

If you actually look at the stamping of a 67-69 hood, it's pretty complex. You have twin power bulges with the inserts set down into the bulges at a slight angle. You'd really need the whole skin, but then you'd somehow have to work in the center peak on the early hood. It would be a major project for an experienced sheet metal guy. You can't just plop them down on a flat hood because the back of them is shaped for the angled depression.
That's kind of the point of the post. I haven't seen one in person, so I'm not familiar with the surface underneath the insert. Even if angled they would work as long as they would lay flat, but that's maybe not the case from what you are saying. Still not quite sure.
