68 or 69 Dart GTS Convert

I can tell you with near absolute certainty that this car is NOT original. The exact car (including upholstery) was built in the late 1980s by a CHP officer near San Jose from the shell of a '68 GT convertible. I really doubt that two cars would be white with that same cloth upholstery. He sold the car around 1989.View attachment 1715063037

This is the kind of stuff that should scare buyers to dotheir homework and know how to inspect a car in person.

The "one owner" is a lie for sure from the Craigslist article. But note that car is underpriced for a real 383 4sp Conv. The ad says nothing of Docs or being real. And touts "free restoration". Which is what you are buying. Nice driver. I'd guess the value of that clone at $20K maybe at most $25K depending on inspection and it's got some nice parts.
