That's the $64,000 question. It depends on how much you run it and how hard. On brand new rockers I'd check them every time I had my car out - sometimes every run. But that was for a pure racer. Best thing to do is to keep it easy to pull the covers off and check them as a routine at the same time you're checking other stuff.
