Holley Terminator Fuel Injection Kit#550-405

Interested, but it sounds like it has been off of a car for quite some time and I'm not sure of a way to verify functionality. Why was it removed from the first car on which it was installed? Why aren't you using it? Any guarantees of it working and avoiding buying a $1,000 paperweight?
