can you put big block six pack carbs on a 340 six pack,is there a big difference in the carbs, will there be too much carbs,I know the part #s are different but I don't care about part #s,I just want a nice running system and there seems to be more big block set up out and I already the manifold just need the carbs.thanks

Yes! Here is the secret! Besides jetting.

The rear carb on the 340 differs only in the passenger side barrel with a few distribution tab.

After that there all actually doable. Same cfm.

Ahhhhhh, a clear picture showing a thing of beauty.

Agreed! I waited and waited and saved and saved. I searched over and over again until I found a going out of biz sale by a dealership.

You gotta want to do this set up.

Mine is a restored all original 1970 AAR Cuda set up. I also have the Air Cleaner but not in photo.

i too have a set from a 440, and they operate flawlessly, with no bog, or hesitation. There are many good reads about how to set up, and tune them. The only thing that i have found online different between the small and big block, is a smaller internal vacuum port on the outer carbs, to slow their opening, but the article shows how to drill, tap, install an allen plug , then drilled out to the correct size, but after rebuilding mine, I dont see a need for it.

Thanks, All that i know is they are NOT T-Port syncs . LOL

Mine will be up top a 410+ cube small
Block. I'm collecting funds for a 4.15 stroke crank in what I hope will be a OK 340 block. That's the hope & goal. If the 340 block isn't good to go, then, I'll use a 360 Block.
