Does my '71 Dart GT have LH threads on the lug nuts? When was the last year for LH lug nut threads? I remember my '69 Satelite had LH lug nut threads, but do not remember when Ma Mopar went all RH.

I believe they should be 7/16" X 20 X 3/4" for my 14" X 5 1/2" small bolt pattern Rallye wheels. Correct?

Should have "LH" on the ends of the wheel studs if it does. I can't remember what year they switched, it was right around then though. Don't recall my '71 GT having any LH threads but that's doesn't necessarily mean it didn't originally and got switched later. I switched it to BBP pretty quick. I still have the original drums and stuff I could take a look tomorrow maybe.

I know 1972 has all rights but my 1971 is a basket case so not sure as I haven't gotten into it yet.

I'm pretty sure 1970 was the last production year for a car with DS LH threaded wheel studs

I'm certain my 70 RR 440-6 car had LH........a funny story from the old days

Friend a ways out of town calls one day, "You gotta good air impact?"

"Yup."

"I gotta wheel I can't get off the hub, I'll bring it out"

"OK"

(This is something 15-20 miles one way)

Comes over throws it on the ground (front hub and wheel), and I took one look at it and saw it was a Mopar. "Which side is that off of?"

He has a REALLY "funny" look on his face!!!!

Remember that your car is now 46 years old, and unless it's a time capsule you could have a drum and hub or an axle swapped in from and earlier car and therefore LH threads. Don't make assumptions about what's on your car now!
