LSx Valiant Build. Take a look inside...

-
He has expressed the distaste for his setup by all the Mopar Elite in his area. But dumbfounded looks when they see his budget, and ability to blow their doors off.

This is his setup according to our conversation:
ls9 gaskets, arp headstuds, untouched 5.3 bottom end, Ljms st2 cam kit. À Vic jr intake, s475 turbo, 80 lb inj, turbo 400 with a brake, ford explorer 8.8 rear end with 31 spline axles and a Fbody oil pan.

All of which is good enough to get him to 1.2x 60 foots, and 9.50s at 14psi. He does have an alterkation front end though. But that is plenty fast enough for me.

So did someone buy the car from LS1ACE or did you guys just decide to pull the mother of all hijacks and don't want to start your own engine discussion ???

Well we just kinda continued discussing the swap on this thread in hope that the OP would regain their gusto and give us some updates on how their project is doing. My build thread will be updated shortly.

Me too. Didn't mean to seem to hijack. Just find all this info great. Sorry....

I find it a lot easier to look on here for LS Mopar swap info than to go through everybody's individual build, so keep posting. If the OP won't post on here anymore than I don't think the OP cares, so it seems to be ok to post and not really a hijack as it stays on the original topic of LS A bodies.

Admin outta make a forum for us. Irregardless of the naysayers, there's more of us everyday and the numbers are growing. Maybe we need our own site??? Dunno.

I believe the OP, LS1Ace, has sold the Valiant. The thread has since taken on a life of it's own.

Feel free to come over to my build thread and talk LS swapped Mopars. I'll be updating mine as I go through the process with part numbers, costs, and everything learned during the process.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some oem camaro/ corvette pedestal type engine mounts ant LS camaro / corvette type front accessories or mounts to tuck everything in tight. I have truck accessory mounts and accessories now and not sure if they'd give me enough room. Thanks!

LS swap going on over here too..... but I figure that my own personal forays are probably not really going to be enjoyed by the Mopar or no car crowd. I gather info off this site and others. When I'm all done in 26.7yrs I'll post a build thread. For the most part this site has the most knowledgeable group on the interweb machine.

I believe in doing what you want to do with your car and your money. If you dislike someone elses choices then jump on the next thread or keep it moving. If you would like to weigh in with some valuable knowledge then by all means go ahead. But unless you're makes deposits in their account for parts do bombard their thread with what they should or shouldn't be doing with their car, time, money. This isn't a cookie cutter hobby, let people do what they want to do.

After all, America was founded by people going against the establishment, and doing what they felt was right. Murica!!

That's unfortunately common here. A lot of people need their safe spaces away from facts and reality.

Seems to me the old school guys need a safe space because they refuse to see the truth and facts. This is a free country and people can swap what they want. This isn't North Korea where one or a few control the minds of the many. People can swap whatever the heck they want, regardless of anyone's approval or not. We're simply sharing information on a forum because that's what they were originally meant for. Still referring to a-bodies, we're in no way taking away from the website, merely adding to it. So get your panties out of a bunch, times are changing.

Been active duty 10 years now, and have seen tons of changes, not all I agreed with. But I didn't sit there like spoiled toddler who had their toy taken on the playground.

Chief out.

There may be some evidence that this is not necessarily true. Especially with someone being now referred to as "emperor" in this country.

But putting world catastrophes aside, I agree. What's important is enjoying the car(your way) and keeping one more on the road.

Remember if it weren't for the purist you wouldn't know what your car originally looked like before you hacked it up. (I hacked mine up). I'm with you guys build it your way but don't hate the purist or they may not help you when you need it.........and will eventually. I know I have made the purist comments. And ate crow later for it when I needed help. Hot rod on my friends.

Im done with the bickering back and forth, everybody just need to understand that there is different flavors of koolaid, no body is making you drink theirs. I love the kerling it Mopar guys, but there are other ways of doing things.

What about a turbo poly!now that is original!wait is that to hard?

Ok, show everyone the turbo poly that makes 600hp, gets mid 20s gas mileage, is relatively inexpensive to put together, and relatively inexpensive to replace when you blow it up.

You have to deal with the reality that keeping cars pure and original is death for a lot of them. Future generations want cars they can drive and enjoy. The more original and less drivable you make your car, the more likely it will make its way into the junkyard.

Never heard of a Poly, but I have heard of the reliability and performance of a turbo LS swap, and since you're not footing the bill, I will do what I want.

The poly engine is the bucket of bolts that came before the LA. Its pretty much crap.

Go ahead and do what you want just don't pick on purist or sb/bb combos they still get the job done .

Ok you got me i should dump my home built 727 and my 2,200 dollar 360 and go spend a but load on an Ls swap.

Poly is not crap and it's completely unique unlike cookie cutter Ls swap's.

If it was so great, Mopar would not have developed the LA.

There are like 10-20 LS swapped mopars. That's far from cookie cutter. Are the results cookie cutter? Sure, but who doesn't like reasonably priced reliable power?
