408 Stroker Short Block Details: Blueprint Engines
Mid summer and short block is now a long block, just lacking distributor and miscellaneous peripherals. Will be taking a break and then on to going through trans setup, custom converter etc. So this is it: Blueprint 408 (410 actual) shortblock, KB 416 .040" over hyper, approx. 9.8:1 w/ Enginequest LA style intake bolt pattern mildly ported Magnum heads, 1.92/1.62 nitide coated valves, Hughes 1110 springs and retainers, Comp Cams: 1.6 alum. roller rockers, guide plates, studs, and 7.50" pushrods (giving excellent roller tip pattern on valve tips) single pattern Isky 280 Mega hyd flat on 106° LSA (280°adv/232°@.050"/.517"valve lift/68° overlap/102 intake CL) Summit billet timing set, ported Weiand Action Plus dual plane, Demon Street Demon 750, Doug's D453 ceramic coated 1-5/8" headers, Melling oil pump, MP windage tray, Milodon 30940 pan, Gates 43026P 8 blade w/plate water pump, and Pro Sport sfi balancer. FSR aluminum radiator, A727, with as yet determined size/stall custom Ultimate Converter, with a 3.73 sure-grip 8-3/4 with 27" rears with a total weight at about 3350lbs. Haven't added up total cost so far, probably best not to!
