Was talking with a buddy the other day about front speakers.
I brought up the idea that one high quality 6x9 set to mono would probably sound much better than two 3-4 inch speakers side by side
Most modern music is mixed fairly mono anyways drums bass vocals up the center
Unlike Beatles and Hendrix.
I think a single 6x9 would be better than
Two smaller speakers both would be basically mono except the two 3" can have phase problems.
I'm thinking now. Run a 6.5" up on the dash (I don't like 6x9) run 2 tweets some where high (maybe dash) run 2 6.5" in kick panel.
And wire up the middle dash as a center channel.
I don't run rear speakers except sub cause there uni directional. Music is meant to come in front of you. If you do run speakers in the back for rear passengers. I just run mids no tweets off the rear channel off the deck cause I don't care about them much and only turn them up a bit when people are in the back.
