Oregon Mopar Nationals who's going ??

-
My family and I will be there for sure on Sunday. Driving the 71 valiant there as I only live 20 minutes away. Looking for swap meet goodies.

Unfortunately I cannot make the mopar nats this year. My grandma is on her death bed and might be last time she can see great grand daughter. Hope you guys post some pics and share some drag racing stories for me. Dustin

Sorry to hear about that and I hope everything turns out the best it can. We'll see you next year and I'll try and post a couple pictures.

It's been a few years since I went last, but from what I remember of it. It's tire smoking, engine revving fuel burning excitement with lots of badass show cars, some good parts but usually not a whole lot of smoking deals but certainly a few to be found. My buddy Russ sets up a booth of almost all A-body stuff, and if you need something he doesn't have there. Chances are he has it in his shop. Oh, yeah and it's usually hot as hell there every year. Haha.

It was like stated ^^^^ hot as hell LOL
Luckily the air condition works in the motorhome. There was completely other stuff going on this afternoon so a lot of the swap meet stuff hasn't been set up yet. it's just kind of a one day event so everything will probably come flooding in in the morning.

How is it? I'll be combing the swap meet first thing in the morning.

I got my brakes sorted out, so I'll be there with the '63 Dart and I'm getting a swap meet space. See you all in a few hours. I'm planning on leaving Salem around 6:45 or so. I know there's going to be huge line to get in.

I'll be the guy wearing an Amc javelin shirt, lol, and wide brim farmall hat. About 30 minutes out I'll be there. Waiting on a buddy to meet me to go. It is okay to wear amc to the mopar nationals isn't it? Haha, at least it's not more offensive, like ford, chevy or something like that. But I promise to buy a new mopar shirt while I'm there.

I know who own that car.

I am glad that I went today, I got 1st place for the projects class. Plus I met an older guy who was racing a '63 Dart GT with a 225. I wish I would have taken a photo, but he had built a custom manifold and was running six Mikuni motorcycle carbs. He was running mid 15s. Unfortunately,, he broke out (bracket racing stinks most of the time).

That old geezer put me on the trailer in the second to last round of the run tough for the first round Losers of Sportsman! LOL Nice guy, I went and thanked him for the race and we had a good laugh about the pedalfest we were having at the big end.
Good for you and you were going to let a simple master cylinder keep you from all this fun LOL
