Age doesn't matter. And as far as telling him short term, no I'm not telling him. I just threw that out there. Honesty is a good policy most times, this is not one of them.
Yeah, best not to disclose too much at the interview. You can always tell them "a new opportunity arose and I'm out of here" at any given moment. They cant argue, especially if they can't match your new gig.
