Tranny cross member install problem....
What I'm working on is a 10K mile unrestored car at has been parked since 1974. I'm not restoring it at least not now, but trying to retain as much of the factory look as I can. The car did not have the factory undercoating option so the floor pans were just that thin factory coating of the gray primer finish. There was a lot of that fine pepper rust on most of the pans. I decided then that this was one area that I wanted to address as it did not look too good. So last year I laid on my back and used a small wire tooth brush to remove the rust from the pans then sprayed it a satin gray using rattle cans. Sometimes I think that I should have just left it as it was.
