While pulling an axle to fix wheel studs the tire guy ruined I found some clunky play in the driver's axle of my 741 8 3/4....so, let's dive in.

I would start with where the other 2 wheel studs went.......

I popped one out when he broke it, the other was half stripped...i pulled on the wheel while loosening the lug to get it off.
All studs are in now, axle splines weren't twisted. I think the auburn is toast folks. Big dead spot where the yolk doesn't move and before i pulled the intake if I goosed it hard...the rear vibrated. It's harder to turn than it should be, used a pry bar across studs just to turn it.
 
I'm gonna pull the diff. I have a clutch type suregrip to put in anyhow. I'll post pics of what I find.

You're bound to drop dirt in your beer leaving it on the spring like that. It's better to shotgun it and then get to work ;-)
