1967 318 block and steel crankshaft. Crank was turned .010/.010 and the block was decked and bored .030" over. New Keith Black hyperutectic pistons, new Scat connecting rods, new Melling oil pump and intermediate shaft, new chrome oil pan, new windage tray, new oil pickup tube and screen. Has 10.5 to 1 compression ratio. New Cloyes timing set and Mopar timing chain tensioner. New Mopar purple camshaft and lifters 280 degree .470 lift, Smith Brothers pushrods, 1985 #302 swirl port heads milled .025", new bronze valve guides, new Comp Cams #901 valve springs, Proform aluminum roller tip rocker arms, Edelbrock Street master 318 single plane intake manifold, factory electronic distributor, MSD plus wires, fuel pump, new water pump and 180 degree thermostat, alternator and pulleys. Complete engine minus carburetor. Just built by David Sammons of Mocksville, NC. Installed it in my 1972 Duster and broke it in and put about 2 hours running time on it. Car needed much work so I removed the engine and sold the car. Holds 70 pounds of oil pressure at idle. Located at Farmington Motorsports park near Winston-Salem, NC. Will consider trades. Over $3000 invested. $2000.

It sounds healthy. I had a 3.50 open gear and street tires on the Duster, so it would spin the tires. I never made a pass down the track with it, just around the return roads. I'd like to know myself how it would perform in an A body.

BTW, I can deliver this 318 engine. It is located near Winston-Salem, NC and I have just moved back to the Tampa, FL area. I can deliver it for free if you live along the route that I will be traveling when I make my next trip. I can deliver it elsewhere for a reasonable fee.

I am moving this engine and stand and a cherry picker from North Carolina to the Bradenton Florida area. All of it is still for sale. I can deliver it also. Make an offer on it all.

any idea how much horsepower and torque it makes
No idea. Probably the same torque as horsepower. Small ports, small valves and mild cam. Put larger 340/360 heads with larger valves and bigger cam and it will make 100 HP more. Solid bottom end with decent compression ratio. Bet it still rips as is. If it doesn't sell, I'll put in my '71 Maxi Van.

I will also sell the parts from this engine separately. I will sell the entire short block including the timing cover, water pump, harmonic balancer, oil pan and motor mounts for $1350. I will sell the cylinder heads complete including the rocker shafts and Proform rocker arms and the Smith Brothers pushrods for $650. That leaves the Edelbrock Street master intake manifold for $75 and the electronic distributor with the MSD plug wires for $50.

Still have motor ? What side is water pump outlet on
Yes I do. It has the 1970 and later type timing cover, balancer and water pump. Only the block and crankshaft are 1967.

So to answer your question, the water pump inlet is on the passenger side.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. It's not worth it to me to partially disassemble a complete running engine to sell just the heads for a few dollars. Thanks anyway.

I'm in VA, what are you looking for in trade. I have 3rd members, a magnum head conversion, a body 8-3/4 axles, etc. Also have everything to build a gnarly small block. Let me know, i would want the motor whole. Send me a convo.

Thanks

Nick Davis

would the intake manifold be a straight swap to a '67 273? my 273 has a 2bbl and I want to swap for a 4bbl, do you have a carb for the intake as well and what size if you do?
