Tire help please!

I think your front wheels are too wide for what you are trying to do.

Generally the "strip" part of your car wants a tall, skinny, front tire. The larger diameter improves the time spent between the two beams at the starting line reducing the tendency to red light. A lighter tire/wheel combo on the front will reduce your ET because of the lighter rotational mass.

If you have to stay with the 14" wheel, look for a tire with a 75 or maybe a 70 aspect ratio. I doubt that 78 or 80 aspects are available in 14".

If this really is a street/strip car, consider going to a skinny 15" front wheel and appropriate skinny tire. (Front runners) You could even swap them out on strip days.
