Hi DfootCuda,

I spent a lot of time researching a rack and pinion steering assembly and can tell you that most of the suppliers I dealt with were not great and, after talking to people that used their products, I found the after sales experience was worse. By far, the best Company was RMS Suspensions and exceptional quality with beautiful welds and top notch components. Also, the owner Bill Rielly was always readily available and helped sort out any issues I had immediately. This front end kit is very strong yet much much lighter. I can pick up the whole assembly including the brake /spindle assembly/power rack /k member myself. Try doing that with the stock stuff!!

The gold looks fantastic, but I was still hoping you went silver. The bare natural steel color is awesome.

I cut my top off once also, now it is a . Your car looks great. What color is that? :rofl:View attachment 1715081446

Thanks Muddacres !

The color is called Ember Glo and is Chrysler code PYC.
BTW, did you cross brace your car before you cut the roof off?
Helps tremendously when re-attaching the replacement >

WoW! That's a lot of work! Looking good Any other pics!

Hi fellow FABO members.

Thought I'd share some pics of my car. It's my first car, bought in 1977,got my drivers license on it and have had it ever since. Time and money have kept it off the road since 1999 but it's almost completely restored at this point. Some of the highlights are RMS front and rear suspension,4-speed conversion,360 Magnum engine (500 hp), 2.5" TTI exhaust , United tool works sub frame connectors and torque boxes, complete white legendary interior with rally seat upgrade , all chrome and stainless replaced or refinished. Full rotisserie resto including painting and clear coating full undercarriage.
Hope you like it.

amazing effort and accomplishment!! is that an AMD floor pan?

Thanks A56!!
Yes, it's an AMD floor pan. Also used the front and rear valence panels, the lower rad support and the 4-speed tunnel.
Top notch parts ,great fit and great service.

Very nice indeed! You have put in a lot of work and it shows. Thanks for sharing....

Supercuda just got her heart back!! Can't wait to hear it running.

Here's some engine pics. BTW, for those considering using RMS front suspension and k-member, I had to alter the Milodon oil pan a little to clear the steering rack. I'll post pics of the modification as soon as I can.

Thanks very much for the compliments guys !!
I've looked at pics of your builds and they are truly awesome. Dodge should have made a 70's a-body convert... yours looks beautiful Muddacres!!!! Moparmat2000, love the coupes, looking forward to seeing the final results of yours.
HemiDenny thanks for the kind words, your blessing means a lot as I've followed your projects over the years and I know the amount of attention to detail you gave them. I hope my Cuda comes out as well as the Green Hemi Duster you had featured in the Mopar mags.

Thanks for the kind words 340_Dart _power!

OLe Supercuda is really starting to come together now. Just got my wheels.
Pics to follow..

Hey FABO Members,

Here's pics of my wheels. I thought I'd post this as I've seen so many posts requesting what is the max size wheels that you can use on a Barracuda like mine with the Alterkation front end and the Streetlynx rear suspension from RMS.

Front Wheels: Torq Thrust Model AR105M 7765B 17 X 7 0 Offset , 4" backspace.

Rear wheels: Torq Thrust Model AR105M8966B 18 X 9 34 Offset, 6.34 Backspace

Hopefully this will help someone else. As well, there's a pic of the Mildodon base pan modification for the AlterKation K-member for clearance for the pass side rack mounting bolt.
Hope this is of some help to anyone considering doing the same mods as me.
Cheers!!

Hey guys,

I need a little help identifying these two wires in my new wiring harness. I'm thinking they are for the electric choke and the motor for the windshield washer bottle. This is a new Year one harness modified for electronic ignition. Its the brown wire crossing over the two blue wires on the driver's side inner fender and the green wire that's next to the brake lines in the picture below.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
