I live in Texas. It's hot very hot. When I'm working I'm in cooler climates.I wanna move but the warden don't want to leave the grandkids. The good part about Texas is the winters. We are getting crowded.Everyone's movies here.Over 400 Families a month in the dfw area!A neighboring town is complaining they are 4,000 home past due being built

I also live in Texas (South Texas). I would like to move to Arizona where it's warmer and less humid...the winters here are too harsh!!

I like the area I live in but don't the growing number of people. The roads are maxed out and there still building multi unit developments with no room for road improvements. The open spaces have dried up. I would like to relocate to a slower paced area someday, will have to see what the future brings. The wife is unsure depending on what the kids do. I'd probably be happy getting out of here for the hot summer.

I am in central North Carolina. I have traveled all over this country and Canada. I have seen areas that I would like to live. The weather here is similar to the Dallas fort worth area. My wife and I both like parts of Texas but when we had the money to purchase our home we ended up here close to where we both grew up. We looked for a year at foreclosed properties in several states before deciding to stay here

i live in michigan, the only time i even consider relocation is around mid october...and it lasts untill mid april

Have made several big moves over the years. The grass was always greener........ once settled pretty much same thing different place excepting family network. The grandkids gives her something to be excited about or look forward too and be happy about. And if she's not happy................LOL I like having my grandaughter around. It usually give me some space and if she wants to hang with "Pop" in the garage that's ok too.

We moved to Fort Lauderdale FL when the entire state population was 9 million, it is now around 23 million, you could say it's getting crowded! We bought a place in AZ 3 years ago and now only spend the summers, (yes the summers) in Fort Myers FL. The FL highways have become demolition derbys, I just came back from Daytona Beach this past weekend, I-95 Northbound was closed Sunday morning from 4 am to noon because of a multiple semi wreck, fortunately we were heading south. Driving through Orlando on I-4 is a nightmare anytime, I-75 is not much better in several spots. I am glad we have our place in AZ and it's only 1 hour from Las Vegas.

Tug hill ny! Love the snow hate the salt! Cuomo sucks so do the taxes! Other than that great place to live

I loved moving around while in the Air Force. 8 times in 21 years and 4 times in the last 12 years. Yea, pretty much every 3 years, lol.

Like @GeorgeH said, they are all about the same. I will say I miss living 4 miles from the Virginia Beach oceanfront...but not the crime there!

I couldn't live much further south than North Georgia. The summers are just about too hot here, but the winters are just right!! Hopefully, we are in our forever home:)

I retired in Oct 2010, left Long Island NY for middle TN in Mar 2011. Never looked back....

move!?? hell yea - and as soon as I retire - we are!! She likes Florida and so do I - damn straight.

Yes, as soon as my daughter gets out of school I'm out of GA. Horrible summers, crowded, horrible traffic. Its not all bad though, great bass fishing and winters are good if you like warm ones. I'll be in FL in Winter and Nova Scotia in the summer.

guess I`ll just stay here where its a toss up, tornados, hail, ice storms, rain , heat, and high humidity, w/ an occasional earth quake, sometimes all in the same day.

my dad was I the Air Force we lived in some neat places.I was looking at Anderson In.Cause there are many dragstrips to choose from.I know it gets cold and windy I was at Grissom AFB for the blizzard of 77!

I Love where I live and not thinking of moving. Don't mind the heat too bad. I had rather it be 90 over 30 anytime. Wouldn't lose any sleep if I never saw anymore snow

Born, bred and will die here in So.Cal, the politics here will be the death of me! Now I wouldn't mind some seasons...snow, sure. Rain sucks as I'm a telephone lineman and that means 10 hour days. My kids grew up in a Lutheran K-8 School, money well spent in my opinion and the only option out here. High School is public ($$$ otherwise) but I feel they will have the proper conditioning to learn and prosper. So much fast money out here, I wonder where the next heads of industry or salt of the Earth will come from.

Here's a short version of my life story. I lived in the PNW for years (pacific northwest for those that don't know) in Portland/Vancouver and the weather there got progressively worse as the years went on. Eventually I developed year around allergies in my 20s. I also hated the dating scene, so many fat chicks up there and tons of RUDE people. I have a horrid commute to and from work because there's no road infrastructure development there and the traffic gets worse by the day. My year around allergies were crippling and causing massive health issues. I hated the weather and was in-doors at least 330 days per year. And for some crazy reason the cost of housing was skyrocketing.

I woke up one day and realized I only live once. As much as I hated the politics of California it's basically the same as OR and WA, sadly. I literally packed up my 71 Dart and moved. No U-haul or anything. Thankfully my job let me transfer. I moved to San Diego.

Allergies 100% gone. Dry skin 100% gone. Health improved literally overnight. Lost 20lbs just from that. AMAZING dating scene here and everyone is so nice to each other. There's so much military, tourism, students, and gay people that the amount of single women I met was insane. All smoking hot too. I loved the dating scene when I was on it before I met my gf. Online dating was a rush also. Basically the same cost of living. The weather is incredible I live in T-shirt and shorts or T-shirt and jeans. I run the A/C maybe 10 times per year same with the heater. I hate the politics here but the entire left coast is the same. I deal with it. I would hate to move anywhere.

I've lived in Vegas and Phoenix and liked both, especially their cost of living, but their weather, although much better than most of the USA, is still nowhere near San Diego's weather. I'm spoiled and not sure that i'll ever be able to move away.

A lot of people grow roots quickly in an area and life passes them by quickly. People forget (depending on what you believe) that you only live once. I got sick of shitty weather and shitty people.

EDIT:
I have tons of dating scene stories here. My confidence skyrocketed once I got onto it. I was/am an avid runner. I used to go running and whenever I saw a hot chick running also I would run up and talk to her. I'd start out with something simple like ask good running routes, how do I get to X, hey your shoe is un-tied, just anything to get a conversation going. If she blew me off within 1-2 blocks I'd see another girl running even hotter than her so I'd talk to her. It was so much fun.

I've been in Southern California my entire life, don't see myself moving anywhere for a while. As Pishta said, politics suck here, but the weather and overall quality of life overshadows the nonsense.

Wife and I kicked around the idea about opening an office in Texas and moving out there, but at the end of the day, San Diego is hard to beat. We've got a lot going here, family, business, friends, everything.

That being said, I am looking at ranch properties in Colorado and do plan to retire out there once I'm ready to hang everything up. A ways out, but it will happen.

Stuck in family litigation, want southwest, or Texas.... One brother, one sister are tired of California..... A drag strip locally, would be a bonus....

Been up north, Lived in Ill, worked my back off in Michigan and Florida, been on the west coast but I was 4 to 5 years young.
My first ever home was here in Arkansas and I raised my sons here, they and I love it here and I don't think we will ever leave.
I have thought I would like to move to southern Arkansas, our winters don't last long and some times we don't get below 30, summers are long, Last of March to late November sometimes .
So @Bigdummy , I guess yes ! I have thought about it but never want to leave :)

We don't get enough of any 1 type of weather to whine about. Snow is once or twice per season, inches not feet, gone almost as fast as it came. Hurricanes don't quite reach us. Tornados are rare, scattered, and very brief. Sure we have some hazy, hot, humid summer days but that's the "Get out in the streets and protest/riot !" season. Human beans gotta have that weather, fuels our tempers. I'll stay right here, watch the news, pray for some, laugh at others.

MOVED HERE TO SARASOTA,FL 32 YEARS AGO FROM THE MURDER CAPITAL OF THE US CHICAGO. HAVEN'T LOOKED BACK ONCE NO REGRETS. WE GET THE OCCASIONAL STORM BUT IT SURE BEATS SHOVELING SNOW FOR 6 MONTHS. BUT YOU DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO.

My wife and i would love to move out of cali, my parent's and one brother are up in Idaho and thats where we want to go, my inlaws are moving to Missouri.
