Did you ever want to move?

Here's a short version of my life story. I lived in the PNW for years (pacific northwest for those that don't know) in Portland/Vancouver and the weather there got progressively worse as the years went on. Eventually I developed year around allergies in my 20s. I also hated the dating scene, so many fat chicks up there and tons of RUDE people. I have a horrid commute to and from work because there's no road infrastructure development there and the traffic gets worse by the day. My year around allergies were crippling and causing massive health issues. I hated the weather and was in-doors at least 330 days per year. And for some crazy reason the cost of housing was skyrocketing.

I woke up one day and realized I only live once. As much as I hated the politics of California it's basically the same as OR and WA, sadly. I literally packed up my 71 Dart and moved. No U-haul or anything. Thankfully my job let me transfer. I moved to San Diego.

Allergies 100% gone. Dry skin 100% gone. Health improved literally overnight. Lost 20lbs just from that. AMAZING dating scene here and everyone is so nice to each other. There's so much military, tourism, students, and gay people that the amount of single women I met was insane. All smoking hot too. I loved the dating scene when I was on it before I met my gf. Online dating was a rush also. Basically the same cost of living. The weather is incredible I live in T-shirt and shorts or T-shirt and jeans. I run the A/C maybe 10 times per year same with the heater. I hate the politics here but the entire left coast is the same. I deal with it. I would hate to move anywhere.

I've lived in Vegas and Phoenix and liked both, especially their cost of living, but their weather, although much better than most of the USA, is still nowhere near San Diego's weather. I'm spoiled and not sure that i'll ever be able to move away.

A lot of people grow roots quickly in an area and life passes them by quickly. People forget (depending on what you believe) that you only live once. I got sick of shitty weather and shitty people.

EDIT:
I have tons of dating scene stories here. My confidence skyrocketed once I got onto it. I was/am an avid runner. I used to go running and whenever I saw a hot chick running also I would run up and talk to her. I'd start out with something simple like ask good running routes, how do I get to X, hey your shoe is un-tied, just anything to get a conversation going. If she blew me off within 1-2 blocks I'd see another girl running even hotter than her so I'd talk to her. It was so much fun.
