Smarter Ebay sellers..... nope DUMB Ebay buyers

At first read, I was in agreement with the OP. Does sound like it should be simple and cheep...right? But plastic prices have gone up a lot, and if you don't have a template...
He is using 6MIL, which sounds about right. $25 for a 10x25... Shop 10-ft x 25-ft x 6-mil Clear Plastic Sheeting at Lowes.com I figure I could get a few sets out of that. I was lucky to get my plastic for free from the warehouse I worked at at the time. My old ones were in little bits, so no template to cut from. So, I taped it up to the door and pretty much hacked mine out of the sheet. Didn't look fancy, but functional. For the time I spent screwing around with it, I would have gladly paid someone 20 bucks to cut them out for me. LOL.
If I actually wanted them neat, the ebay auction starts looking like a pretty good deal.

you do have doors don't ya? there is your template how bout door panels? you got em off perfect template right there.
and it isn't 20 bucks though it's closer to(29.99 +6.49) 36.00 with shipping with no rear plastic added sooooo ya gotta get the plastic anyway. still look good to you? ahhh forgot, gotta get the dum dum to stickit on also (add more money)

you can get 17(assuming these are approximately 20"x43") sets with extra for some rear quarter panel pieces out of your 25.00 plastic sheeting 25/17=1.47 ish per set for plastic prices. 20 minutes total time to do both doors and rear quarter panels. I was slow since I put down my tape and dum-dum and couldn't find it for a bit)

using a new single edged razor blade takes about 2 minutes total to trace the sides and bottom and making the same exact cuts as shown in his ad or you could use a straightedge or even a 6ft piece of 1"x1/8" flat aluminum stock as for the holes I used a small propane torch to heat up the end of a scrap socket and made super nice round holes for the window crank and door handle since I have an early A with a curved top recess instead of the easier straight lines on later a's

so no I don't think it is a good idea for me to pay for that. 29.99 (for 2 pieces of plastic) +6.49 for shipping does NOT sound like a good idea to me. It could have been free shipping and it still would be too much, but to pay shipping and NOT get the sticky stuff or a good reproduction of the original for that price is crazy.
