I was hoping to use the AC compressor off a 82 Dodge pickup on my 408 build. The LD340 intake will not fit as there is interference with the AC brackets and the manifold where the thermostat is. Has anyone else faced this problem and what did you do to get it to work. Thanks, Rod

Stock, Performer and Torker II are the ones I heard work.

It looks like if I rotate the compressor a half inch or so to the passenger side, I will clear what I need. Will have to modify the brackets a bit. Was really hoping to stay with the LD340 manifold. Rod

Rotated a Sanden compressor 90* on my AC install to clear the air cleaner. You may need to notch your brackets, but not a big deal.

Bought a 90 degree fitting for the heater hose and verified it will route under the compressor and bought some 3/16 steel to modify the brackets. Don't see any reason why it won't work rotating the compressor a bit. Rod

i run a weiand action plus on my 408

clears a stock AC compressor and all its bracketry just fine
