Block VIN # help.
I have a 1968 Barracuda Conv. with a 318 auto. I've read many threads that waffle back and forth about '68 block having a VIN # and how to assure you have the original block. This car has been in the family since the early 70's and my uncle was the second owner. I know the lower end was rebuilt 10 years ago. The numbers on the drivers side under the head doesn't match my VIN# but the block cast date of 09/26/67 does work. What does you guys think? Is this the original motor?
