Birth of the Blue Missile

-
I decided to set up a rainy day project for the weekend, hasn't started raining yet, project done.
There are a half a dozen major control centers (relay modules) in the Missile. The one for the front grill and hood subsystems has been wonky for a while. It was the only one I actually soldered relays directly into circuits without relay sockets. Guess where the problem was.
So I made a new board with relay sockets and then transferred all the wiring to the new board, installed the relays, and plugged it back into the car.
All problems have been solved.

whats the "fire" relay for?

Let me say that the actual system is wired directly from the battery to the avionics pod on the console. That switch triggers the relay as well. The relay shuts down the fuel pump and the ignition system and oil system solenoids.

I hope to get back to the build soon. My son is in his final year of college, its been a long four years, and I am now out of mini projects for the Missile.

NICE! so one emergency button triggers all that?

Just a note, I am now back to putting together the build list for the drive train. Definitely going with a TCI 6X Sixspeed OD tranny. A 700 HP pumpgas smallblock will push it.

Yes I am still here. Yes I still have the Missile. Yes it is still in maintenance mode. Yes my son graduated college this past summer. Yes I am still waiting for certain investments to grow enough to fund the balance of the build. 472 smallblock aprox 35K-40K, the tranny is 9K paint job 3K PM me if you want to send me a check.
In the mean time I build guitars and play the blues here in Austin. I have completed all the small projects (sub systems) I set aside for a rainy day.
Wait!!!! I still have to vacuum bag some carbon on the A pillar trim, that will happen fairly soon. I gave up on trying to find re-pops.
More later, have patience, TRUST THE PLAN!

Hey Andrew, still want to stop by and see your progress. Its going slow on my Duster. got the engine all hooked up, but need to try and fire it off.

Hope your doing well.
