This may be long shot, but does anyone have a passenger side quarter panel skin, they are not going to use? I need one one for a 70 Dart.

AMD is backordered 6-8 months. And I don't want chance a different brand.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but they've been on back order for almost 18 months now. I've been trying to get one for my dart. I made the mistake of buying just the driverside and thinking I'd come back the following month and get the passenger side, by then, they were on back order. So I'm tired of waiting and I'm ordering from autobodyspecialties , it'll be a Sherman panel but it'll work

Not to be the bearer of more bad news, but I would contact a rep from AMD to confirm they will have another production run. I ran into an issue where I was told more would be made in the near future, only to find out months later after several conversations that they no longer were going to be offered.

Could check tamraz too, they had more inventory of AMD panels than any other vendor I found in my experience.

That's where I looked (tamraz) they are super nice and said that the Goodman panels have less pronounced lines. Im gonna call up AMD again and see of there is gonna be another production run. The full quarters are available(i think) I just hate to cut a full quarter. Plus double the cost.

Man I would bite the bullet and order the whole panel , that Goodmark /Sherman stuff is light gauge , poor lines and seldom fits right . You pay AMD double for the full panel but it fits right out of the box with all the right lines , tabs , flanges and holes saving you time and headaches which both cost money on the install .
PS I would swap the whole panel and save the old for somebody to repair if they need it .

I was wondering if it would be cheaper to install a full quarter vs a skin.

Talk to your body guy , it is always cheaper to install parts that fit over parts that have to be made to work .

Yea. Tamraz has Full AMD quarters for $625 shipped. I also got a PM from a member that has am set of quarters that are 10-15 years old that he didn't use on a project. He believes they are Goodmark, but he says they a pre heavy duty. Did the quality just go down hill with Goodmark?

UPDATE: I talked to the big dogs themselves and it turns out the drivers side quarter SKINS will be back in stock on October 2nd. HOWEVER, they will not restock the passenger side until they move through some of their full quarters, which kinda makes sense, I guess. The guy did say he would do a full quarter for $500 vs $599. Not sure I wanna drop that kinda coin yet.

I am in conversation with a gentleman in NY who has a set of quarter skins from Yearone dated 2004. I think Yearone stocks Goodmark. The part number on the panel still shows up in their catalog. If the price is right, I might just go this route.

I talked to my body guy and he said he has done both, but prefers a skin if possible. His experience is that full quarters require more work to make it look right. I have seen this on here with door gaps, etc. I can appreciate that.

theres a reseller in Cali that does the AMD stuff cheaper than they sell them to the public.

ps my body guy says Goodmark has always been **** and he refuses to even touch there product .

Any idea who that vendor is? I did a google search for the AMD part no. and found a few vendors all of which were out of stock or order straight from AMD.

The goodmark is hit and miss it seems. I should call Yearone and ask them who makes their panels. I talked to the guy who has the panels on the phone and he says they are heavy duty, the pics look pretty good also (as far as body lines go) I will post em up here.

Here are the pics of the Year One panel.

Classic Industries in Huntington Beach. Here's a link to your part...$209.99.
1970 Dodge Dart Parts | MM1178A | 1970-71 Dodge Dart Replacement partial Quarter Panel Skin; RH | Classic Industries

I bought a passenger side rear skin for you '69 Dart from them earlier this year and my body man said it fit like a glove. The part number on mine was an AMD part.

I didn't even think about Classic industries. It says it is in stock, I will have to call them to confirm. Freight from them is actually really reasonable.

I even went as far as calling all the AMD authorized dealers. Nobody has one. Damn. I think I am gonna have to go with a full quarter. Ugh.
