I saw that and your post was one of the ones I referred to as being mentioned.
Here recently I tore all those regulator systems out and replaced the rollers, cleaned up and lubed everything so I know what you mean on those for sure.:D
A lot of people can't fabricate things, so the Ebay ones seem like a decent alternative.

I put one of those keyless entry kits in my car because I figured for 36 bucks I could buy a new one every year if it came to that, but 4 years later and not one problem with it.
Still even running on the same battery the remote came with, and that in itself is almost worth that. :D
