I posted this on an old thread, so I decided to start a new one. I am in the process of rebuilding my Holly 80508 750 CFM with kit 37-754, and I have a question for you Holly guys.
I am getting fuel between the main body and the metering block with the car not running. I think this is supposed to be dry. Primary fuel bowl is leaking down sitting there, the float is set correct and a little to the low side. could the new power valve that came in the kit be leaking?? Thanks a bunch....

Power valve is your answer. Unless you have a crack or really high float.

I have another question, can too high fuel pressure bend a carburetor's float tang??? Thanks

I don't think it can bend it but too high fuel pressure can certainly push inlet valve off it's seat and flood the carb.

On older Holleys, some times they warp. You need to check the main body with a straight edge, and check the metering plate too.
