Irma, getting nervous

Yup, it's been a wild summer for sure. A couple years back we had so much rain up here we couldn't get the lawn cut. Now, we don't have to cut it at all. We water and hope it stays kinda green. B.C. and Montana are the same. Dry as can possibly be. Any form of friction could start a fire. Here in Alberta they have shut down access to the mountains in the south and west of the province. No traffic will reduce the chance of human error. And all the while the rain and hurricanes are rampant in the southern states. Mother nature is on a vengeance run and she's not giving breaks to anyone. I don't very often say I'm done with summer.........but I've had enough already. Bring on the fall and winter. We need snow!
What's happening in Montana is a damn shame. Between Montana, the fire in Oregon started by a dumbass kid with fireworks, the BC fires and if I heard right earlier the 100 fires burning here in Washington state enough is enough...bring on the fall rains PLEASE. We are on a septic system. Our drain field area is knee deep and green...terrified of starting a fire so mowing it will have to wait. Every night when I light our Big Green Egg, which uses wood charcoal, I drag the pressurized garden hose over and soak the surrounding area...
