I've been looking for a good whale/walrus gutting knife. Damned whales keep stranding themselves in the front yard...and the walruses have been getting into the shed and playing with the snow-blower.

Hazard Fraught...A title that is not only funny, it is also appropriate.
For years I ran the raffle for our car club. The budget for prizes was under $100. This meant Harbor Freight stuff. It sucked *** to have to walk their aisles looking for stuff that does NOT suck.

I don't have a problem with their stuff. In fact, if you YouTube some product reviews you'll find that their wrenches compare quite favorably to some bigger names. In fact, I just shingled my shed with one of their pneumatic staplers. All I wanted was for it to get through the roof of this shed. It did and it's still going strong. $29 bucks well spent. I've sprayed panels with their paint guns and they work awesome. For sixteen bucks you just toss it when you're done.

I was leaning toward the Electronic Multi-Tool. Never can tell when I want to eat corn and read at the table.

Pretty good stuff there.
I was leaning toward the Whale gutting knife as well, but I recently got some whale repellant and it seems to work great, so no need for the knife I guess.

-- If You're selective for what You buy, they have some good stuff. -- For example a certain Harbor Freight tool box tested better than those of Lowe's, and Home Depot.

funny as this is, there is a lot of truth to it

on a side note, i worked as a machine operator/die setter for a certain company for a while
they had a policy that you provide your own tools, BUT if one of them broke they would replace it

so on day one i bought an empty craftsman tool box and then went to harbor freight to buy an entire set of wrenches, sockets and ratchets

over the course of two years of daily use, i managed to get exactly ONE tool replaced, a 1/2 inch drive 3/16 allen head socket
