funny as this is, there is a lot of truth to it
on a side note, i worked as a machine operator/die setter for a certain company for a while
they had a policy that you provide your own tools, BUT if one of them broke they would replace it
so on day one i bought an empty craftsman tool box and then went to harbor freight to buy an entire set of wrenches, sockets and ratchets
over the course of two years of daily use, i managed to get exactly ONE tool replaced, a 1/2 inch drive 3/16 allen head socket
