An A body block is worth considerably more than a regular 383 as the motor mount casting for the A body does not have the second mount pillar, and clearly has not ever had one. So, anyone familiar with an original A body car will see right away if the block did not come from an A body car. Also, All A body blocks have only one pillar, and are never stamped HP.
