....asshats would do something like this?
Local news reported last night that while fire crews were out dealing with the wild fire that some 15 year old jackals started there fire station got burglarized....asshats stole 100k of equipment...

Wow, no respect but on the flip side those fire fighters will still help these losers if they asked for help. Hope they catch em and get their stuff back.

deserves extreme punishment !

Yep...

Tie them to a pole surrounded by fire... Like burning witches at the stake... :mob:

Let them see what the potential consequences of their actions are when people are in danger of fire and they are preventing the fire fighters from putting them out... :(

Whose house, property, or lives can be lost because of the equipment that they stole which could help put the fires out faster??? :elmer:

Burn them at the stake and let them "feel the heat".... :mob:

Or the old time firing squad... :elmer:

Or put them in a stockade in middle of town square for the townspeople to ridicule.... :poke:

Or tie them to the rear bumper of the stolen and recovered fire vehicle and drag them around for a while... :steering:

Or hang them from a tree and let people take turns hitting them like a pinata...

Where was the fire station Dalmatian???

If they had a Dalmatian guarding the station, nobody would break in... We've had many Dals (9 of them) in my family over the years and they have all been great watch dogs...

Part of the history of Dalmatians is to guard...

Back in the horse and buggy days, the Dalmatians were chosen to run with the coaches and keep the rodents from spooking the horses... They would run along with the horses and under them to keep the mice and rats etc. from scaring the horses... Then when they got to town, the Dalmatian was trained to sit at the back wheel of the coach and guard the coach from being stolen... Guard dog is part of their breeding and history...

They love their families, but are suspicious of strangers... They would welcome the firefighters back to the station, but keep strangers away...

Now if you were looking down at teeth like this, would you try to go any farther????

That top one looks so cute! No wonder my friends Dalmatian barked at me the whole time I was talking to him. Never knew the gaurd dog aspect, I thought his dog was just annoying!

mental illness....Some individuals just do not have normal brain behaviour.
Nothing you can do about it.

That top one is mine... :D

Thanks...

Weird the truck was stolen from Kalama Wa. and found in Gresham Or., which is real close to where they were fighting the fire in the gorge. Kalama is about an hour north.

Thank you for the education.
Read someplace that one of the reason Dalmatians made good pups for a fire house is because they are often deaf, any truth to it?

Yes, some are deaf... I had a deaf one, but you couldn't tell if I didn't tell you.. He keyed off the other one that I had... I trained him with hand signals and he was a great dog... He learned as fast as the one that could hear and "listened" better sometimes... (They can be stubborn if you let them...)

Deafness is more common in Dals than other breeds, you should have them checked when you get them as puppies...

They also have a metabolism that is different from any other breed and some can get urinary stones... They have special food and medicine for that also...

They have their quirks and are not for everyone, but if you know them they are great dogs...

The reason that they were used in fire houses was to help control the rodents back then... And they also liked to ride the trucks...

They are very trainable and the firemen trained them to get equipment from the truck for them...

Their intelligence makes them very trainable...
