is it worth changing intakes?

ive got 79 360, stock thermoquad on it, ive got a 72 340 intake, would there be any performance difference if i swap them, or should i just put a performer on it?just looking for idle to 5000 power range. no other mods yet, 701 voodoo cam and headers r in the wings

thanks rusty, kind of what i was thinking,i prefer the clean look, get rid of the egr and air injection.i will also put in valve springs to match the cam. this engine isnt in my duster or demon, its in a79 18 ft. motorhome i just picked up, i trust this site for the experience and input from other members here

Leave the EGR intake on and unplug the EGR valve, cap it on the carb. Presto, EGR disabled and no longer is of any concern.
Use the '72 on something else cool.
Use the Performer as a door stop unless dropping 25lbs. off the nose of the car is important to you. Otherwise it is a waste of time.
