I have a '69 Valiant that is an old Gasser build. I am putting it back on the road but need an Hood. I'm putting a 413 W/ Tunnel ram and don't want to cut an hole in the Fiberglass Cuda' pro stock hood. I have checked in a few sited and I didn't find out that it is a correct fit. Sooo I need a metal hood and can't find one anywhere. Is there another A-Body hood that I can hunt out?

As Sedanman said 70-72 dusters have the exact same hood as the 69 Val. IIRC all 67-76 hoods will "fit", as in bolt up, but the later hoods have the adjustment in the hinge and the earlier ones have sliders in the hood itself. Soooo, the cuda hood will bolt up but the bump in the center of the hood doesn't match the 69 Vals', although i believe Cuda hoods are basically the same profile as the dart sport.

You can get a fiberglass hood for a '70 to '72 Duster/Valiant 4 door/Scamp for pretty cheap. (Or a regular steel one if that's what you really want). All '69 Valiants had the same hood as well.
A 'Cuda hood ('67 to '69) would physically bolt up to the hinges, but it is all wrong on the front and would look bizarre.
How about some pictures of what you have now?

I have tried to post pics but can't seem to make it happen. I see IMG come up but... Anyway I only have 3 pics of the car before I have started work on it. I will try again when I figure out the correct way to put them on here. Thanks you guys for your help for now though...The pics show that the thing is sitting very low in the front. As of now it is up pretty much with the back.

This is what a hood should look like on a '69 Valiant and a '69 'Cuda (red car).
Yes, they're both mine...........

These are the car when I first got it. Not the same now. The work I have done as of now are not on the cosmetic appearance. Different, Rear end. 8.8 373, Front axle has brought the front level with the rear. Tilt front clip, The Cuda' hood is what I don't want to cut a hole in...just need a plain hood. If you have an Jobber that has what I need, please tell me. Thanks all you guys!!!!

That's not a 'Cuda hood, it's a Valiant/Duster hood.
If you are talking about the scoop, then it's similar to a '68 Hemi Super Stock or Dart scoop.
Go get yourself a steel hood and cut a hole in it if you want, there are lots of them around and are pretty common really.....

Ok, I have taken a pic of the sticker and it has the Pentagram ?? Chrysler sign? and it says AAR on it with the phone # and address!!! But after checking with the real!! info it is made by Quality Fiberglass Reproduction. After looking up that Co. I find the AAR doesn't mean so much. It is likely that it isn't what it appears to be. I believe it is just what they want to label it by and not actually a Cuda' hood. So I have to agree with you! Thanks for your info! I have the front clip off and it is on my lift so there isn't much of a car to show you. I'm putting the motor in it now. Someone had a BBC motor in it and I've had to make a new location bracket for this 413. I'm green when it comes to rebuilding a Gasser. Thanks again for your input !!!
