SBP?

Well, here's my 2 cents worth........
I never have liked the SBP on these cars.
I've been working on them now for over 35 years and i need to say that SBP stuff is barely adequate at best.
From the smaller wheel studs to the smaller ball joints, factory wheels only available in 14X51/2'' width, smaller registers, more expensive parts, etc. i think that they should have been discontinued after the '66 model year.
Everything about SBP is substandard to the BBP set ups started in '73. Even the highly coveted SBP disc brakes leave a lot to be desired.
Change a car over to BBP, and you have an easily available parts selection including factory and aftermarket wheels.
All with the added bonus of it all being stronger as well.
Every one of the cars i do in the future will have BBP or will be converted to it if it already doesn't have it.
Leave the SBP stuff for the resto crowd...........
