I just wanted to give a update on me.
I'm in Spring Hill,Fl about an hour outside of Tampa. The hurricane came through last night about midnight. I'm fine. I have portions of my fence blown down and a tree snapped in half. And some clean up to do on the lawn. Power went off about 9:30 last night. My wife works at the hospital,so her and my son were there. Thanks to everyone that prayed. This could have been much worst. However many places got it real bad. Naples, Ft. Myers. My prayers are with those affected by Irma. Thank you all. Larry

I also live in Spring Hill, and we made out fine. Never lost power, and no damage. Just some tree branches broken. As was said, my prayers for those who had it worse than us.

We have a Winter place, in Hernando. We dodged a bullet, there, Also. -- Thanks for the update.

Happy to hear you guys made it safely through the hurricane. I bet your pucker gauge was pegged with all the unknowns on the direction that thing would travel through and how much windspeed and flooding would occur.

Glad to hear it; I am waiting for my wife's friend to report in from Frostproof but everyone else I know (east coast and Ocala) seems to have dodged 'the big one'.

Just amazing the track took it "off the gas" (warm water) and it weakened. Glad everyone is safe. I saw a thread on the top 3 things trending on Ebay, #3 was a Husqi chainsaw.

My spot in Lakeland took it well, we never lost power and fortunate we had neighboring houses to break most of the intensity of Irma. The winds were about mid 70 MPH as is crept up on us.

Cool. Glad you made it ok. Weather watching is a hobby of mine. I have a small Davis weather station and recorded a highest wind gust of 79 MPH. That's a lot of wind for middle Georgia. The storm came right over us.

Did you take any damage or loss of utilities?

We lost power Monday afternoon late and had power Tuesday about 1 PM. Our local utility here is badass about power restoration. We lost a LOT of trees, in the woods, not affecting anything. Only two small pines fell over the driveway and I pushed them out of the way with the tractor.

Got out today since it was my day off and cleaned up a little more. No damage to the house, thank goodness. They just got done last week putting on a new metal roof. It's nice, too.

I was a'wonderin' if it got close to you, RRR. OK for the house... now the important stuff: any cars damaged?

None at all. Just the two trees down was all that affected us.....and the short power loss.

I tell you though, had we had rain several days in advance of the storm, we would have been toast. The ground would have been and the tree loss would have been unimaginable.

God is good.

Anybody here from Roy? I know Plant City is North East of Tampa and likely caught the eye.

We are about where the red dot is.

Not that I know of, but waggin checked in. @SGBARRACUDA , you out there?
Yeah I'm alive! Actually got stuck here in Perry Ga. Been laid up with a bad back since August 28th. Been to the ER and have some pain pills that are allowing me to function. The house in Plant City has a little damage and we are still without power. I plan on heading home this weekend. We'll see what's in store for me when I get there. Thanks for checking on me, I appreciate it.

Roy, Sorry to hear about your back. Hopefully the house isn't to bad. Been working on cleaning mine up. Thanks, everybody for checking in. Glad everyone is OK.

I know that any of our members in the Ft. Meyers/Naples area on the west coast and Miami area on the east coast got their butts kicked! I wish well for any one affected.

All good in Miami. Lost a chunk of the fence and a tree but house held up just fine. Lots and lots of downed trees and huge power loss. A big chunk of Miami is still without power. A buddy in Key West just came on-line last night. Unbelievable, but damage was minimal in Key West according to him. North of there it's a whole different story.

Glad most everyone made it out ok. I watched the Eye on the phone pass right over our area in Webster. I got hammered pretty bad. Good stuff is it(the trees) missed the garage and house.
but it took out the motor home that I had just put on a new rubber roof and it's building it was stored in. Dang thing the front 20 ft or so is flatter than a pancake I might be able to save the generator ,motor and trans but that's about all that survived. thank goodness we didn't go directly in it when the power went off. 8ft wide tree just fell over on it and kept on crushing it. it knocked my horse fencing down in a few areas so all in all I'm glad we are safe, but I got a ton of cleanup work to do.
