Whats the differencs between 67-72 k members and 73-76 k members and is the 6 cylinder k members weeker or is it just the motor mount that are different?

67-72 are biscuit motor mount type and the sway bars bolt to the under side.

73-76 k are spool type mounts, sway goes thru the K frame.

Difference from v8 vs slant 6: motor mounts, steering arm. Niether is stronger than the other really.
 
Also should be mentioned that the 67 K frame uses a one year only idler arm, so it's wise to steer clear of those, unless you like paying at least triple the price for a simple idler arm!!

Not correct. The '67 idler arm had a stud at each end that goes into a tapered hole. '68-72 has a through-bolt on the k-member end and a tapered stud (pointing up) at the center link. '73-76 idler has a through-bolt on the k-member end and a tapered stud (pointing down) at the center link.
