Newb To FABO but not FBBO

Hello all. We just set up an account here but I have been on FBBO for several years. I'm known as Runner 68 over there. I'm sure some of you from there are here as well.

This will be a joint account with myself and my 16 year old son who just acquired a 1972 Duster. I have been around the B bodies and E bodies for roughly 40 years but am pretty green with the A bodies so we're looking for that great assistance here that I get over on FBBO. As this will be a joint account I will stay off the political forum here so he doesn't see what an @sshole I can really be.

My son will have permission to log on when he wants but will let you know it's him. He'll be John Lemon Jr and I'll be John Lemon Sr. I'm pretty excited to get into this project with him and he is as well. I think it's pretty cool that a guy of his generation has chosen to get into this hobby. He thinks it will be cool to have 2 old Plymouths sitting in the shop. For what it's worth he had an opportunity at a big block Chally but chose the Duster.

So here it is, 1972 Base model, 318 / 3 speed on the floor. ~180K miles. He purchased it from a family member for $1,200. It was put out to pasture in 1993 in dry Colorado but ran fine when it was parked. We don't anticipate any issues with rolling it over but you never know.

We went out last weekend and filled it full of PB blaster and Marvel and will let it soak for a couple of weeks before attempting to roll it over by hand. If it's frozen or we just can't get it to run well it will be a good excuse to upgrade it to a 340/4 speed car.

We'll start another thread for those of you that want to follow the build.
