On a 8.8 rear end conversion are you guys using 8 3/4 u bolts and shocks plates?

From what I have read you can. It may require you to hollow out the holes on the shock plates a little because the axle tube on the 8.8 is 3.25" the 8.75 is 3". I haven't gotten that far in my swap yet. But the ubolts will fit with a little brute force but it opens up the u bolt a little. That's why you hollow out the shock plate. Not speaking from experience. I read just about every thread on the swap.

Hmm should be able to get 3.25 u bolts somewhere.

all i used was the shock plates. bought new ubolts and perches

Had to take some carbide bits to open the holes a little bit on the Shock Mount Plates
