Ballest phone spelling for me lol don't you hate that

The led incandescent replacements are a buck a piece, and make mega light with minimal draw. you run a whole row of them where fluorescent once lived for a lot less dough, have less draw, and attract fewer bugs.

I've done a ton of ballast replacements. If you already have 4' T-8 lamps, get these, or something similar:
GE 120-Volt Electronic Ballast for 4 ft. 2-Lamp T8 Fixture-GE232-120RESDIYB - The Home Depot

If you wanted 4' T-8 LED-replacement bulbs down the road, this electronic ballast should light them up. Otherwise use the commonly-available inexpensive T-8 bulbs, and just fix it. If you currently have 4' T-12 bulbs, these ballasts may not light them.

This is assuming you just want to repair the fixtures you have.

I used to work for a company that did lighting retrofits,.changing form t-12 to t-8 ballasts and bulbs. I have a lot of left over ballasts for t-8. Pm me if u are interested

Just don't buy the Phillips LED replacements for florescent. They were no brighter, and one failed already.

......... This is ENTIRELY true. I've had bad luck with 2 cases of their 4' bulbs where near 1/2 will not even come alive or they behave quirky in 1 fixture--even used with a Phillips/Advanced versa-volt T-8 electronic ballast that is on their "approved" list.
