92 CTD - Repurpose

Neat and well thought out work! Does the bike ramp thing work kind of like a roll back? Is it hard to control when you roll it off the back? I love home built stuff like that....and just trying to figure out how it works. So, where you headed? You've been in TN a long time. That AC unit is gonna freeze your arse off in that sleeper....lol. You could mount a roll up camper vent on top for some fresh air. Lookin good so far! :)

The first attempt at getting the bike onto the Truck, I bolted a bar at the rear to keep
the ramp from moving. drive up the ramp, bike would want to slide back down, next tried a speed bump / in gear behind the rear wheel.
Nope. not even almost safe.

Now the bar is only used during transport. to keep the ramp from sliding out

about a week later, I decided to build up-right supports. so the bike would stand up with no straps.
load the bike on the ground, strap it down.

push the remote, up it goes....
solution to a slight snag > modify a trailer hitch, add a guide bar to line it up with the rollers.

I'll be heading South.

What I'm building today, is also for later, as a multi- use vehicle...looking for an APU, that runs off diesel.
> keep the coolers cool.... if it gets to cold, open a window, like a dropped top with the A/C on.
My buddy gave me the A/C, with the understanding to use it on this project
