Hey folks! Have a good deal on a darn expensive dizzy. Powers my 378ci Small Block extremely well! I can't use this with my blower setup (FITech can only control their simpler 2-wire distributor for timing retard under boost) so I'm selling this to get the basic MSD dizzy, and now someone else's ride will be blasting off! Well over $100 off MSRP, includes original box and necessary wires. Video available on request!

Seriously, 3 wires (no box!) and 5 minutes and this thing was firing my engine better than any other system I have used; that's why I'm sticking with MSD.

I'm looking for $325 plus $20 to ship (from Rodeo, Ca.) to anywhere in the continental US. It's listed on my Ebay for more, but you guys are great so here it is!

Here's what MSD says about the 8388:

CHRYSLER 318-360, READY-TO-RUN DISTRIBUTOR

Fits 273, 318, 340 and 360 small block Chryslers. Ready-to-run distributors include a built-in ignition module. No MSD Ignition control required. Includes a built-in rev limiter

PART# 8388

$463.95 Suggested Retail

MSD’s Ready-to-Run Pro-Billet Distributors for Chrysler engines are the perfect upgrade from breaker points or weak electronic ignitions. These distributors feature a maintenance-free magnetic pick-up that accurately triggers the built-in powerful ignition module. This module produces a high-output spark which improves combustion in the cylinder, resulting in quick starts, a smooth idle and great performance. Just beneath the race rotor is a mechanical advance assembly so a timing curve can easily be tailored to match your application. The QPQcoated shaft is guided by a sealed ball bearing assembly for stability and endurance while a vacuum advance canister helps increase economy on those long cruises. The Ready-to-Run Distributors are also a breeze to install. Simply drop it in the engine and connect three wires and you’re ready-to-run to your favorite cruise! The front engine mount models are designed in a special small diameter housing to clear aftermarket heads and valve covers.
Features:
  • Simple and clean installation with only three wires to connect
  • Mechanical advance assembly can be locked out for crank trigger systems
  • Supplied with a HEI style distributor cap and rotor (accepts Cap-A-Dapts)
  • CARB E.O. Approved
  • Advance plate and weights are fine blanked from chrome moly steel and QPQ coated for friction reduction
  • Polished steel shaft is QPQ coated and guided by sealed ball bearings
  • Maintenance-free magnetic pickup and precision reluctor create stable trigger signals throughout the rpm range
  • Vacuum advance canister for improved economy (can be locked out)
  • Easy-to-adjust mechanical advance with supplied springs and stop bushings
  • Powerful built-in module produces a 7.5 amp single spark through high rpm
  • Now includes built-in Rev Limiter

Were you running this pre-Fitech or pre-Fitech/blower? How many miles on it? Are you planning on running a 6AL or comparable control box with the new dist?

If you're willing to be negotiable with the price send me a PM. I'm interested.

Run for about 200 miles (absolute max) on the non-blower engine! Just installed new heads/intake/blower, not "running" the blower yet just bolted on getting belts and pulleys set up. Can't run it with boost until I swap in the new 2 wire dizzy next week and boy am I excited!

Negotiable on price a bit yeah! I'll respond :)

To be clear, with FITech you don't need a 6AL or anything similar, as the FITech operates as the CDI or "brain" for the dizzy and handles everything, timing curve/retard and all. I don't know if a 6AL works with the FITech but I haven't seen it done...

Would the distributor clear a stock air cleaner and the wiper motor in a A Body. I was wondering about clearance issues.

I have a performer rpm intake and the dist clears the stock style 340 1970 air cleaner. Also clears the stock 2 speed wiper motor.

I wonder if the a 1972 up trap door 340 air cleaner clears. Do the two types of air cleaners have the same dimensions

Sorry dudes, buyer came and picked up last night. Thank you all! Also, my email notifications from FABO are not arriving when I get messages? I'll check my email filters. Sorry for delays!
